Manit Joura is an Indian Television actor. He is popularly known as Rishabh Luthra in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya. He recently took time off from the series to headline as Harsh Shastri in Dangal TV’s Prem Bandhan. But, amid the pandemic, the show didn’t get enough attention and TRP’s that led to show going off-air pretty soon.

Speaking to , Manit Joura talked about taking off time from Kundali Bhagya to do other things. “I didn’t take a personal break. I took a break to do something else. And I very strongly believe that it’s extremely important to take risks. If you don’t take risks, you won’t grow. You’ll win, you’ll lose and nothing comes with assuring in life but it is like that. We are young right now, we can take risks. We’re living in an era wherein if we don’t take a risk now, when will we? As an actor, I have learnt so many things, if I get an opportunity where I can showcase my craft, I will grab it. My choices usually aren’t driven by my money or fame. My choices fundamentally depend on my happiness and progress in life. More often than not, when you are doing work and your heart is happy, it all works out. Several times, it happens – when I was doing Prem Bandhan, I was doing a schizophrenic character and it demanded a lot emotionally but at the end of the day, I’d feel hollow and empty but I’d look forward to the next day. And that is a beautiful feeling. I can’t put it in words but when you are in the moment, you feel it and everyone around you is happy – your team, the production, the channel! It’s a wonderful feeling,” he says.

Speaking about the abrupt end of the show and how it affected him, he adds, “Of course! I am a kind of guy who is very attached! You won’t believe it but I still have all my scripts right from the audition scene to the final day! And that’s with all of the shows from Karol Bagh in 2009 to Kundali Bhagya. I have a cupboard filled with scripts. I am much attached and when it ends like this, you feel a loss. But with that you understand the importance of letting go. There’s no point holding things too tight, because we all have the tendency to do that. It is very important to let go. You have to be dedicated but you need to know when to let go. It’s very subjective and works very differently for different people. When something is going on, I give my hundred percent because you can’t do anything in life without giving your hundred percent. Even though I am doing a commercial ad, I am in love with it. I invest all of my being and give it my all. I didn’t even take off. It leaves you feeling hurt and upset and over the course of time you accept it and learn to live with it. I figured that this is just a part of my life and not my whole life.”
